Since 2002, Moorenko’s has crafted the Washington, DC area’s finest small-batch, ultra-premium ice cream. We make our ice cream by hand, the old-fashioned way, with high quality, natural ingredients. Ultra-premium ice cream is just that — the best of the best, made with the highest percentage of milkfat, less sugar, and less air. The result is a rich, dense, creamy dessert that is wholly satisfying. Not many ice cream companies can call their products ultra-premium, and Moorenko’s is proud to be one of them. Our rich custard base provides the ideal anchor for a range of intense flavors. You might say we’re ice cream purists; we like to minimize the add-ins and elements so that the taste of our ice cream comes through, full and unadulterated. We don't use any artificial coloring, and instead focus on the natural qualities of our ingredients. We have a list of sophisticated classics but you can always find us in the kitchen, coming up with something new and unexpected.
With ice cream, you get out what you put in, so every element is carefully considered. Our dairy comes from grass-fed cows raised on small, family-owned farms in Pennsylvania and is certified rBST- and antibiotic-free. Our proprietary ultra-premium blend of cream, milk, egg yolks, sugar, and other all natural ingredients forms a rich base of 17 percent milkfat. We don’t use any chemical emulsifiers or stabilizers and source the finest fruits, nuts, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla to ensure that nothing artificial gets added into the mix. The Moorenko’s goal is to keep things simple — choosing the very best ingredients and letting them shine.
